i cant get my logietch x540 surround sound speakers to work on my packard

bell imedia X2424, can anyone help, ? i have followed the instructions on set up, but just can't get all the speakers to work, only subwoofer and centre work. I have a realtek high definition sound card with the driver alc888 already installed. where am i going wrong?
