I can't text on my Nokia 5230 Nuron.?

I just got my new Nokia 5230 Nuron phone a few days ago and got it activated recently and for some strange reason, I can go online and all, but i cant text on it. it just keeps going to the outbox and says Resend on [3 mins later] and when it does reach that time it just says error.
