the beauty about it is that we can structure it to affect only about 500,000 americans who make the most money. Everyone else gets a pass ..this means me and it means you.

I think those 500,000 richest americans should be taxed fore every dollar they make over $500,000 at the rate of 40%, up to the point they make a dollar over $750,000 and then at the rate of 45%, up to the point they make a dollar over $1 million and then at the rate of 50%, up to the point they make$3 million and then up to 55%, up to the point they make $5 million and then up to 60%, up to the point they make over $10 million then the top rate would be 70% of every dollar earned over $10 million.

But we would have to put in laws to track down the offshore accounts and freeze those assets...so the rats dont try to steal the cheese and run away leaving the country high and dry...they are fully capable of thinking this type of treason...look at Dick Cheney.
where is the motivation to make money?

where was in in 1952? 1958? 1965? 1968? ....it was always there..even when we had a top marginal rate as high as 94%.

you mean to tell me someone who makes a million dollars a year and knows that after that millionth dollar he will be in a 50% tax bracket will deny a raise to a salary of $2million? or if he has a business and can make $3 million he will not make that much cause he has to pay tax?? of 50%? why did our system work back in earlier decades then?
lol

you cons have no come back do you?

you give me theory, and I make my case by pointing to facts...actual historical documentable facts..that our tax code use to be much tougher on the rich...and it happened during our boomiest years when we truly became the greatest wealthiest economy ever .....

you now have the floor neocons...give me the facts...please...ROFL

All that so you can sit on your couch all day and watch Oprah?

Those people are the business owners and will just move away leaving you without a job....even though you probably don't and won't have one anyway.

Yes.

Rob the people who Invest, Gamble, and Create Jobs for Working People.

That won't effect Democrats because most of them don't work, anyway.

Cheney gave around 8 Million dollars to Charity.

Rich Democrat, Joe Biden, gave $263 to Charity in 2007.

On his 2008 Tax Return, he "claims" to have given $682 to Charity.

Democrats are such Hypocrites.

I looked at Dick Cheney and saw he gave away 8 million to charity each of the last 8 years while making a total of only 7 million. I think you may be right tho, but I also think that people who have spent their whole life on the dole should be put to sleep.
