...the setting? the site was the default 192.168.2.1 .... how do i access this site now with a changed ip

you probably cant but type it in the address box and see if it works but your Ip address is how your internet service provider identifies you and your modem is set to that ip address

you can try to reset the the modem to default factory setting if it has a reset button

Reset the modem to its original or you just use the one you said you change to it. To reset it take a pen and hold the reset button on the back of the modem and hold 30 sec then it will become like out of the box. Good luck

Hi,

If you did forget your router's IP Address, no worries, just follow these steps to find out what it is
1. Press and hold the Windows Key (near the left ALT on the keyboard) then press on R
2. On the box that opens type CMD
3. On the window that opens type ipconfig
4. Browse through the results, the numbers that follow DEFAULT GATEWAY under Ethernet Adapter Local Area Network (browse up the window) is your router's IP Address.
5. Type that IP Address on your web browser's address bar and gain access to your router (make sure you're connected to it via cable)

Hope this helps

Hi,

There are two ways to do it.
A. Reset your modem if you know the settings. You will need a safety pin or a paper clip. Make sure the modem is powered on. Then put the safety pin or paper clip in the reset hole on the back panel of the modem. Put it in and press and hold for about 10 seconds. this will reset the modem to factory settings. Here is the pic that shows the reset button/hole

B: If you remember the ip that you gave to your modem then open up the browser and put that ip address or if you are not able to connect wirelessly then harwire the modem to your lan card on your computer. then Open network connectioins. There right click the LAN connection and select properties. Here highlight the tcp ip (4) and click on the properties button and there select use the following ip.
Now say you gave you modem an Ip of 192.168.1.1 then give an Ip address of 192.168.1.10 and hit tab on your keyboard. This will automatically bring the subnet mask. Now click apply and o.k. Now open the browser and keyin the ip address that you gave to your modem. this would allow you to open the modem firmware.
