I don't feel my cousin is acting Christ like?

So I believe in God but I don't like organized religion I believe it has error, and so I constantly tell him I'm not religious but I am very spiritual and I follow Christ since I love God will all my heart, and I love all people no matter what color, gender, religion etc...I feed the poor, I help the sick, I even help with the orphans.

All he keeps doing is throwing bible verses at me, telling me I need to go out and tell people Christianity is the only way to heaven, and then he tells me when I say I believe i shouldn't say that because it sounds like I am speaking on my own account????

When I called him on the phone I asked what he goes by he said "faith, want me to preach on?"
and I was like hmm no thanks.
then he goes as Christians.....
i'm like well I don't really like to call myself that since man has tarnished the title due to evil ways

then he said But YOU ARE Religious!

Does that make me religious?? I always feel uncomfortable talking to him he always throwing bible verses I never see him help anybody.
my relationship with my higher power is spiritual.....i dont constantly say blah blah blah I am Christian....thats all he does
 
You are a Christian so don;t let the title become a dirty word to you.

Your cousin is a moron who should silently practice his Christianity. In fact give him this challenge. Ask him to remain silent about his faith and introduce him to 3 people that you help. Afterward ask each of those three people what religion he is. None will likely say Christian.
 
Hmm.I do not think that makes you very religious it just sounds like you have your own personal relationship with god.Never mind him you know who you are! and what you believe in
 
Sounds like he IS acting "Christ-like" and you're the one actually doing the right things. Stop worrying about this jerk.

a christian follows what jesus says to do

jesus told his followers to peach the gospel to every creature
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

jesus instructed his disciples to go to church or synagogue and temple
jesus was constantly there teaching and calling people to come to god as we are to do also


Joh 18:20 Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
 
Don't worry about how your cousin is acting. You should be satisfied in your own accomplishments, and not look to your cousin for affirmation.

What your cousin does or doesn't do, is his business. You are in no better position to condemn him for not acting charitably than he is to condemn you for not not being a proper Christian (or whatever manner of disapproval).
