What is it that's so different?
Is it the amount of sarcasm? :)
Shows like the Inbeweenters seem pretty straight forward...
And which humour do you prefer?
Is is just like a culture difference? :)
Gordon I'm from Birmingham, whoop! :)
Pamela Martha -
Season 3 of it is coming out in here this September :)

Americans usually like shows that show someone doing something that makes them look stupid so they can be laughed at. It tends to be more slapstick.

They don't enjoy humour requiring mental input eg that which involves sarcasm. Sarcasm = the gap between what I'm saying and your understanding of it :)

I'm Canadian and my grandparents were from London and Birmingham, England, so I can understand your humour since I was raised with it.

That's a good question. The British sense of humor is different. I can tell you that, as a long time fan of Monte Python, some forms of British humor can not be beat. Nothing is funnier that the dead parrot skit, I'm a Lumber Jack is tops, and the movie Life of Brian is one of my all time favorites. With that said, Benny Hill was rarely funny, Mr. Bean is actually boring, and this is not funny at all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7AXskSxxMk

British humor is more subtle but also a bit more silly. I think it is just lost on Americans many times. A bit like all the little sneak scenes in the movie Quest for the Holy Grail. You really have to play that thing in slow motion to get it all.

OMG I love the Inbetweeners seen the whole 1st season. Hilarious!
Its just hard to watch because I can only see it on the BBCAmerica channel and I don't know when they will air it until they decide to.

Edit- First let me say sooooo jealous, can't wait to see the guys again lol. Secondly, I don't find it weird that ppl will say Americans are dumbs because it is a stereotype I just find it crazy that most ppl find it to be true. Its not that we don't appreciate other countries shows its just not that many are available to us. I also like the show Being Human in the midst of watching the 2nd season of that.
Know Being Human isn't a comedy just stating another show of you guys that I like.

That is such bollocks! I love British humor what the bloody hell would I do without it! You guys are so funny. I prefer British humor because I find your slang pretty hilarious. It is a culture difference that began when America was founded we decided to set ourselves apart from our European counterparts.
