close relationship with her.? She is just assuming that she is invited.
I let her come to the delivery of our other baby, but she has become even more difficult and rude and insulting since then. She is not a reasonable person, and I generally try to avoid sharing anything personal with her and am just cordial and respectful in her presence. I "love" her, but I don't really *like* her.

I wouldn't mind if she came to the delivery if she would apologize for her general behavior towards me, but she's not a reasonable person and I don't relish the idea of bringing it up with her.

What advice do you have for me?
 
Just tell her you wish this birth to be a private low key affair.
If she is like you say then you may have to hurt her feelings to get the message through. Either way it's tough.
