I downloaded a file from rapid share, it was an rar file, and it is saying

it's broken? I didn't want to pay for the software to open rar files, so I downloaded 7 zip, but when I try to open it, it is saying the file is broken. A little background, I am downloading a file from rapid share, and have only downloaded the first two parts. Is it saying file broken because I haven't finished downloading the rest, or it's just the first file that is broken. Do I need to download that file again? Thank you in advance, I would really appreciated the help.

try winrar and get the free version (or try to get a crack with that) and if that does not work, maybe the file is not "healthy" or is fake.

It is usually broken when you do not have all the .rar pieces to make up the whole file.

There is plenty of free or trial software you can download to open .rar files, just Google the words .rar for some examples.
