Hello, my name's Chris. I'm 21 and currently from South Bend, Indiana. Its a medium sized Chicago suburb. I'm posting this in hopes that there is someone like me, facing the problems I am currently facing. I work part time as a line cook at a local bar. I'm still living at home.
I feel trapped. Trapped in this system. Trapped in relationships. Trapped in my head.. and Trapped in this depressing place. Simply put, I want to get away. I'm not trying to find myself.. I'm pretty certain of who I am.. I just want to see more of the country than the 100 mile radius I'm used to.
I own my car. Its a dependable 2004 Grand Am GT. Unfortunately, other than a couple of electronics, I don't own much else.
I'm looking for any advice on relocating with a couple hundred dollars. School is an option. I'd love to learn more about things that intrest me, and I'm sure I'd get accepted for student loans regardless of where I end up. (I'd like somewhere west.. Oregon, California.. but east would be fine too.)
If anyone has ever felt trapped.. and has any advice as far as how to attack this.. please let me know. I have nothing to tie me down here other than some family who I would remain in contact with.
I appreciate any advice and help..
Chris
Please only reply if you have considerable knowledge in the matter and have read my circumstances. Please refrain from telling me 'running won't solve my problems'. As I said.. I'm not running. I'm very appreciative of any inside advice.
