I filled up my 2000 Nissan Xterra and now it idles rough, won't stay running, no

power.? This only started after I had added the gas. In addition, we have had freezing temps and I had let my gas level get low. My husband changed the fuel filter. We also added a product called Heat after a mechanic friend suggested this. I am terrified my Xterra will never be the same. Can anyone suggest anything else? 3 months ago i had a full tune up as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I forgot to mention, my husband thinks I got water in my gas from the station where I filled up as others have mentioned this since our problem started.

If the truck was running perfectly normal before you filled up, then it is quite possible there is water mixed in with the gas. By the way which is not uncommon at 'no-name' type gas stations. My advice would be to first try a couple of bottles of dry gas fuel treatment and if it doesn't help, take it to a qualified repair shop and have them drain out and flush the fuel tank.
