i got a motorola razor from my friend?

and i want to lock it but it tells me to put in the old password. well i dont know the passwprd and i ask my friend and he said he never put one on it.
does anyone no whats wrong with it?

There is a default password on it. It is 1234 for default.

It would be the factory default then. Try these:

(0000) (1111) (1234)

try 0000 or 9999 or the last 4 digits of the cell phone number your friend had before he gave it to you.
