...so what the hell is wrong with it.? It has the Chevy 427 big block V8 engine, it has a manual choke with a 4 barrel Holley double pumper carburetor, it fires up perfectly and has 25 gallons of gasoline in the tank.
I have gone through the same procedure since the day I bought the thing, choke out 1/2 way, 1 pump on the gas, 2 in winter and crank for 5, it ALWAYS fires up, and still does to this day. So I was driving down the road with the choke fully off at about 50mph and it suddenly just gave up, it just shut down as if I had turned the key off. So I pulled over and cranked and cranked and cranked and pumped and pumped and pumped and it fired up but sounded like it was misfiring and runnung lean, so I gently gave it some gas, but as soon as I pressed the gas pedal, the engine just quit like that.
Whats wrong with it?
