...the road, it went pssssssssssttt? and then no sound. Have tried a different radio to the car speakers and they work. Have changed the fuse and it works. The display and other buttons all work - seek/scan/clock - all work and the display is fine - just NO SOUND - no buzz, hum or anything - NADA.
Any ideas??? Thanks in advance!
 
are the speakers aftermarket? because i had the same problem. i put four brand new jl audio speakers in my car. im driving down the road... and then... silence. never came back on again... until. i got an amp and wired it to the speakers. see. the lesson learned is that your radio only puts out so many amps. it has a little calculator sized amp in it that runs your speakers. if they pull too much. the radio says no. get an amp. run it to your rem and your rca outs. badda boom badda bam. and if not... could have fried the radio. screw it. get a new one.
