i have a 2000 Honda civic Ex and when i try to switch from parking to

reverse the shift gets stuck? i checked the fuses and replaced it, however, it keeps buring them. What else could be the problem? could the stoplight switch cause a short and wont allow it to shift?

This is a no brainer but it has to be asked. All new cars require the brake pedal to be pressed down before you can shift out of park. Are you doing that? If so you could have a cable that needs adjusting for the release to work proper.
