IS it an air locker (ring gear carrier) or an air bubble causing vapor lock?
If it is a locker, disconnect the air line and use a carrier housing spreader or a 19mm wrench on the top ring bolt and a pry bar on the bottom ring bolt and pry that sucker out.....after you remove the caps and axles.
