I have a blackberry pearl and i just blought a 2 Gb sandisk for it so i can add songs onto my phone but when i put the usb cord in the computer and plug it into my phone it had been installed correctly but when i try to format it it says format has failed idk y what should i do?

but for the usb cord i am using the one that my friend got with her sidekcik
 
Get a usb that connects the sanisk micro
If it doesn't work the blackberry has a problem
