I have a blueray surround sound system?

I have just purchased a blueray surround system and I've downloaded movies using Torrent finder. They play on the computer just find but when I burn them off they don't play in the system. Does anyone know what I have to do. I know the problem is that the movies are not compatible with the system but how do I go about converting them.
