I have a BMW 2001 330xi. How do I program my new key?

I know I can take to my dealer but the day I picked it up I didn't have time to wait. My dealer is about 45 min. away that is why I would like to do it myself. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
 
you answered your own question... the dealer has to program it. unless you have the computer system and program that the dealer uses to program your key; then by all means, do it yourself.
