I have a complicated cell phone question...?

Ok, so I have an LG Xenon ive had for a year. I am on a 2 year contract and I'm on a plan with my father. Now my step father is going to put me on his plan, but hes going to get an entire new plan. So, would I be able to get a Blackberry Curve 8310 and keep my old LG Xenon's number? By the way we're AT&T users.
