Now you have a local warrant for failure to appear :(
You also have another court date. The judge issued a return date. If it was a county ticket, or local ticket that went to the county courthouse, you may be able to check online about your next court date and the warrant as many counties post that info online.
If it's not posted online (because it's a local town or the county doesn't list it) then you need to call the court clerk's office up to find out your next court date.
However if it was in a big city, they may have dismissed it or you may have a warrant still. Either way you need to call that clerk's office to find out! You don't want to be driving and get pulled over and like in Monopoly, "Do Not Pass GO, Go Directly to Jail!"
Let's assume the worst, that there is a little warrant out for this petty traffic ticket... you find out the next court date and go there, tell the judge you are very sorry and missed your court date and took it on your our initiative to find out your next date and come in in good faith. Then after he/she quashes the warrant (he may make you wait several hours and just put you at the back of the end of the court call for the day).....then when you do stand before the judge about this, maybe right then, you want to already have a copy of the police report of the stolen vehicle in your hand. (Get it by having the person who owns the car get a copy of the police report, if you still legally own it then you are s.o.l. as you can't goto the police station to get/file the report without getting arrested now..) If you show the judge the car was stolen he will likely let you off, if you can't, then the judge may just find you guilty and then you can ask for supervision if they have that so the ticket will drop off your record for insurance purposes.
Good Luck

Go into the police station and report the vehicle stolen for starters. It will look better in court if you show up and make the report and take care of the FTA. Odds are you will bond out on the warrant and be released for court.

Bring a witness and appear. Plead not guilty, explain that stuff to a judge, then pay the fine and be happy.
May want to talk to an attorney, I would.
Long as they are still both Misdemeanour’s, I am not an attorney., so I do not know, FTA on a Misdemeanour is usually a misdemeanour also.
If a Bench Warrant was issued, you would be in jail right now.
Good luck with trying to fly that story past a judge.
I am a Florida Native, as was my Father, his Father and so on a few times. Yeah, good luck with that one.
Here is the fact, the fact is if you are operating an Unsafe Vehicle in Florida, you get a ticket or worse, sounds like the lights things is plausible, the sold it and now is stolen is where it gets funny.
I buy and sell Boats and Automobiles, one thing Florida is very particular about is Titles and Registrations.
If you had junked the car, no paper trail.
Bring a witness. All paperwork, Bill Of Sale, Titles, Insurance, stop digging the hole deeper.
I think two FTA may be a Felony, do not skip this court date.
Good luck.
