The plot involves a scientist who has built the first ever underground shelter that shields someone from a nuclear attack (like in Blast From The Past) and he has built it under his house. When warnings of an impending attack arise, he retreats to the shelter and survives, but upon his return 10 years later, he sees that war has overcome society's confidence in peace, justice and stability and the system becomes violently and immorally corrupted, and the scientist-turned politician is determined to restore the country's lost values. He sees violence and total choas throught the streets of London and is determined to bring back stability etc. Thing is, I don't know how he would go about his political journey. What kind of events would take place in his life? Those similar to Gandhi etc? Thanks in advance for any ideas you are willing to put forward.
I'm hoping to write a screenplay for it and make it into a film.
Also, what do you think of the general plot and do you think the idea of his finding out society's problems good (the return from the bomb shelter) or do you have any alternative ideas for that beginning, or perhaps the cause of society's corruption and lack of law and order?
