I have a sony walkman mp3 4gb i want to know if i reset it what well happen?

ok im having a problem with my mp3 every time i want to sync music in my mp3 all the songs i have deleted keep loading on my mp3 so then i have to erase them again so my question really is how do i delete all the history of all the songs ive deleted?
