I have an iphone 3gs with OS 4.2 and itunes is saying that it is the current

update...how i get it to update? I need to get it updated from 4.2 to 5.1.1, no it is not jailbroken...itunes is telling me its current but i know that its at ios 5.1 so how do i update???
