levels in Biology. Need advice? I phoned the University and told them my situation, they then handed me over to 1 of the lecturers of the Human Nutrition Degree and she spoke to me for about 10 minutes on why i wanted to study Nutrition etc, and i told her i didn't have A levels in Biology and she said she will go talk with the other lecturers to see what they say, and then she'll contact me. Well anyway, she called back and said they accept me, but there wasn't any conditions on why they chose me. Now i'm kind of confused because Biology is a massive part of Nutrition, so why would they accept me if i didn't have Biology at A level?? I did a BTEC National in Sport Science, but no A level in Biology. I'm finding this kind of strange and i am thinking of not accepting the place because i may fail if i haven't had any Biology or Lab experience before. What should i do?

If you have met the requirements for the program, then there is no need to worry. I don't know specifically about this program, but I know medical school is kind of the same way. Many people go into medical school with very little science backgrounds (i.e. history majors), but once you get into medical school, they teach you the basics about what you need to know. You will have to work harder than those who have already seen the early basic material, but you will by no means fail.

I just started the first year med school curriculum, and it is a snore right now, because I already know most of the stuff. It is retaught for those who need to relearn it and those who need it for the first time.

Good luck.
