I just got him today. he's so cute, and he swims around a lot! hehe. Anyway, I think I put a little too much betta food in his fish bowl, he was only eating some though. So there is still a bit left of food in his bowl, I am afraid he might over eat and get ill. will he? If not, I should just leave the food in there?

just wait a couple minutes, after he stops eating, clean the food he didnt eat out with a net.

Um i dont think anything will happen... but they will start to get all soggy and it will just make the bowl dirty...i would try to take it out....

Happy little fish, he'll be fine with one big feeding. Just ease up tomorrow.

They love a plant to sleep in. You can even use a live plant, hydroponics grows in water.

yea just leave it in there usually when u get a new fish they wont eat right away

once they get used to it they will start eating

make sure u are feeding him 3-5 times a day with small meals alright and clean his bowl often too

He'll be alright.
Fish have some self control.
Just make sure it doesn't happen too often.

Actually, fish don't have control. They readily overfeed because they are opportunistic in the wild. They don't know when their next meal will come in. But overfeeding in tank easily leads to problems like high ammonia from the left over food and swim bladder disease.

Your Betta's stomach is as big as his eye. You need to feed him only about 5 pellets a day. Any excess food should be removed after 5 minutes.
