i sold my car in october 2009 to a trader the trader then sold it on to its new owner i thought all was fine till january when i recieved a parking ticket from london council !!! now bear in mind i live in birmingham and have never been to london in my life i signed and dated the v5 i did everything right i have appealed to the council but they said they needed more proof like cancelation of insurance the only thing is my insurance company no longer have the car on record is there anything i can do i don't want to pay some one elses fine i take it that the new owner has now registered the car in there name as i have not had a reminder for tax through and checked on dvla site and car has been taxed in april i really am worried about this can anyone help me !!!!!!!!
