I hit a pedestrian with my bike. No injury. Should I tell my insurer?

I was filtering through traffic and whilst doing 10mph a pedestrian stepped in front of me from behind a lorry. I had just time to avoid full impact but caught his elbow. He didn't sustain any injury at all, but my bike's indicator and brake lever broke. I felt with my bike.
The guy wasn't recognising his fault (no pedestrian crossing or traffic lights) so I called the police in order to get a report of the incident. I asked the policeman if I needed to tell my insurer but he said it was up to me, but not necessary as there was no injury and I would not likely get any money to repair my bike.
After the police left, with statements from both of us, the pedestrian and myself came to a pact. He paid me £35 in cash, and gave me a receipt to cover for the indicator and the brake lever. In the receipt he states "Paid £35 for damages to motorcycle. This is the full and final settlement".
I have now a incident report form from the police The accident happened nearly 2 months ago, and have not heard anymore from the pedestrian.
my question is:
should I tell my insurer? And, would my insurance go up?

I certainly would advise them. The pedestrian could come back at you in 6 months time claiming long term injuries not immediately noticable.

dont ever speak of it again, the pedestrian has already assumed fault with the note.never ever speak of it again, especially to your insurance carrier.honesty isnt always the best policy as ive found with police and insurance.
