i just plugged my mp3 player into my friends laptop, and it's no longer

working. Any ideas what could be the p? My friends laptop is a high spec alienware laptop which cost over £2000. it has a huge power pack, i think this might be the cause. My MP3 player is an iaudio X5 L. it's about 5 years old, the battery is only a year old though. i haven't had time to plug in the mains charger, only the usb. the on switch doesn't power it up, and it doesn't come on when plugged in to pc. any help appreciated.
