I let some frozen hamburger patties thaw then refreezed them, can i still cook them?

It says on the package, keep frozen, cook frozen, do not thaw. I'm not sure why I cant thaw them but we left the entire package out after bbqing last time and stuck them back in the freezer. I didn't know it said that on the package. would it be ok to bbq them? I do not want to get sick.
The first time they were defrosted they were still very cold.

I would toss them. When it doubt, throw them out. Since you are asking, it sounds like you are doubtful about how safe they are. I don't think it worth a chance of becoming ill.

It should be fine. Just make sure you reheat it up to the maximum temp. To kill of the bad germs

No you cant thaw and refreeze anyrhing. Its time temperature abuse. Chances are, if you eat them you will get sick..

Eat them, the burgers will be fine.
