I lost my keys to my locked storage Chest in the GMC Yukon?

The little chest between the driver seat and the front passenger seat has a key that locks and unlocks it. Well I cannot seem to find it and need to know the easiest/cheapest way to key a new key to unlock it(not necessarily to lock it back ever). Thanks

Each vehicle has its own identifcation number--that log number is the key code--as well as date manufactured, trim level, and paint color code----go to the dealer--he can research the code and get a key for you. Relax--its a common problem. Good luck

those keys are only like 3 pin cheap locks...locksmith will probably charge u less than 20 bucks to pick it if u take truck to them....

u can usually do it ureself with a paper clip and some time.....

other than that u can always force it with a screwdriver.......

** another option that is usually more expensive si call dealer and they can sometimes cut u a new key from vin......not 100 prct like ignition door locks but sometimes as long as chest was original to vehicle....
