This last year I started writing a lot, like everyday. i love to write but I lose the feeling to do anything else. I always played sports and hung with friends after school, now I don't feel like it. I pulled myself away from writing this year, and I got right back into my normal behavior. Hanging with friends and all. I miss writing a lot now and want to get back into it but I'm nervous. What if I slip back into my writing book and don't escape before its to late. What do you think i should do? Do most writers go though this?

Yes we go through this. Find a balance. Write 1500 words a day. Or write 45 minutes a day or an hour. You need to do both.

Wow. Most writers have the opposite problem - we like to be read, and to tell stories, but the actual writing isn't as fun.

Chin up, get into the writing, but pay attention to your friends when they want to do things. You may have to sacrifice some things - but if you really like them, perhaps you should try to work them into your writing.

Like sports, for example. If you write about them, and love playing them, then you may be able to get around the idea of them being separate.
