I was going to write my paper on stem cell research, but 2 kids stole my idea (we had a class discussion and had to put our ideas on the board. The 2 other kids doing to topic didn't even know what stem cells were until they looked it up--needless to say, I'm not happy). I want to choose a new topic that is interesting and unique--something that will produce an amazing research paper. I'm open to most any topic. Please help me choose a great topic.

Saying "stem cells" is like saying "gravity". There's a LOT of wiggle room. Sit down with your teacher and ask if you and the other students can get together so as to narrow your topic. 1 could do stem cells from blood cells. Another could do stem cells from heart cells. Yet another could do stem cells from skin cells. Any 1 of those topics ... .you could write a PhD thesis on it. Stick to your guns. 
BUT! If you get shot down... why not dark matter? Dark energy? Stellar evolution? String Theory?
