I need help with my code breaker for ps2?

i want to put a game save on the code breaker i went to game faqa and downloaded the gamesave for codebreaker then i put it on my flash drive which is compatible with my ps2 slim (its a sony) wen i put the flash drive in the flash drive icon doesnt light up and when i put the flashdrive in while i turn on my ps2 it freezes then wen i take it out it unfreezes how can i put the game save on
