My husband just switched from second shift to first shift. We've never been breakfast people before but I want to make sure he has something good to start his day before work (before I just made lunch because he went to work at 2:30 p.m.). All I can think of to fix is sausage and egg biscuits, french toast and pancakes. Cereal seems lazy to me even though my husband doesn't mind. Also, it needs to be something I can throw together in 30 minutes or less. Any ideas?

I agree w/ lizaD. i was going to reccomend French Toast also.
It' so easy:
dip dry bread into an uncooked scrambled egg(mixed w/ a splash of milk)
then fry in a hot buttered skillet, serve with maple syrup.
MmmmMMmmgood.

bacon is really good. make some biscuits with some pepper gravy to go with your sausage or make some biscuits and tomato gravy (so good). you open up a can of diced tomatoes onto a frying pan and add a little flour and oil and heat and stir and walah! a bacon, cheese and egg omelet is good or just mixed together. i like to mix eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon and grits together.
