just curious I have never seen UFC match, but recently on the internet I heard people saying how much more they prefer UFC to Boxing. Are younger kids following UFC and abandoning boxing? Is it kick boxing , wrestling and regular boxing all rolled in one? Thanks

boxers seem to dance around more because of the 12 rounds, where as ufc has only a few rounds... boxers sell themselves out 90% of the time...i'm sure it happens in the ufc too, but not as much... so i prefer ufc.

well Dana White puts great cards and is really the boss of the sport.. In boxing now you rarely get your money's worth mega fight..( where were the ali vs frazier or ray leonard vs hearns )! In UFC White really controls the mma world in a good way.. example the debut of UFC in Dubai was a failure due to the thought to be Great Main Event.. White's athlete played around the ring and was mocking.. White never let that slip just because his athlete was the best or #1 pound for pound.. He told his athlete that "if you do that again and dont finish fights or give your best i will cut you from the deal and the business".. In boxing there are many boss and couldnt reach an agreement or if they did the fans lost their fire in the anticipated fight.. there are many more reasons why the sport of boxing is fading.. but this maybe the main fault.. boxing now is not the same before and the fans turn to another sport.. the sport of MMA.. im a fan of both sport but the card lately in mma is way worthed than the card of boxing..

It is Mixed martial arts or MMA fighting. And UFC is the most popular among americans.

It is just what the name implies MIXED Martial Arts. Which includes boxing. And there are some fights that are all out slug fests. For example the Leonard Garcia and The Korean Zombie was an awesome fight. They showed it Saturday on SPIKE TV. It takes a while to understand the ground games and technics they engage in sometimes. but they are good. I can say that with all certainty.
