What if I want to access the internet such as look for restaurants, iMessage or facebook people? Would I have to be under wifi or would it be considered roaming fees?

I think it would be roaming fees but if I were you I'd use wifi. Most European hotels have wifi. Kids in my school go to Europe and they used Facebook on there phones while they were in Italy and Greece
