I put my cell phone battery under my armpit and i laughed and it started shocking me?

Well, I read online if you put your cellphone battery under your armpit it is supposed to charge it half way, and i needed to use it really bad so i did it. And me and my friend started laughing at something and it shocked me!! It felt like when you get shocked by somebody when they touch you.. it felt like that except it was doing it like 100 times and it hurt. And i was wondering why the heck it did that!!
