the phone i purchased was with an $17.50 plan. Rogers had automatically charged an additional $15 charge for internet which we didnt ask for.

They said it was part of the black berry and there is no use of the blackberry is we dont have it.

Question : Can i cancel this internet plan that they gave us? and still use the phone with only the plan i asked for?

The promotional rates advertised by Rogers for purchasing a Blackberry all require a Blackberry data plan (minimum $15/mth). Without this plan, the hardware would cost about $200 - $300 more. You can cancel the $15 data plan at any time for a one-time cancellation fee of $100. I wouldn't recommend cancelling, since none of the Blackberry data features (e-mail, blackberry messenger, pin-to-pin etc) would work without it. So, as a short answer: yes, you can cancel this plan and still use the Blackberry for voice calls, for a one-time charge of $100.
