I recently purchased an Insignia Soundbar Home Theater system and?

I'm trying to hook it up to my Sharp Aquos tv and nothing is happening. I've hooked up the cables to both possible inputs on the tv and I still can't get anything. I have the tv set on "surround" and I've tried both inputs on the tv. Any suggestions would be helpful.

You don't hook it to an input. You need an output. You take the audio out red/white jack and plug the sound bar into there.
