I saw a black 'figure' almost shadow at the end of my bed?

I was sleeping, when I woke up to see a black 'shadow' at the end of my bed. I know I wasn't dreaming, because I woke up several times that night. I was alert, not sleepy. I didn't feel threatened by the figure, but i remember feeling scared, just by the sight. I got up and turned on my lamp. Then I couldn't go back to sleep, and started to hear noises. Maybe the noises were just because I was already scared. Planes and cars go by my house all the time. I'm still scared though. I need an explication. HELP !

I have had the same experience too!!
I was wide awake as well, it was about 4:15 am.
And i was having a really restless night. So when i opened my eyes, i saw a figure of a man at the end of my bed.!!!
I screamed and turned on the light.
I knew i actually saw it, because i could tell what clothes he was wearing: A blue and white flannelet shirt with a vest. He had his hands on his heart.
When i tell people, they say it's my mind playing tricks on me, or it was a dream.
But i know what i saw, and i know i was WIDE awake.
At first, i thought it was a Intruder that had broken into the house because it looked so real!
When i turned the light on, it was gone.
I know how you are feeling.
Just thought i would share my story too :) :)
