You could cancel your contract, but then you'd incurr in a anticipated cancellation fee (which is usually about three months of service). You should call the help desk once more, explain your case, try to settle an agreement (where, of course, you should be the favored one) and if they won't budge or keep charging you for things you never signed up for, file a formal complaint with the FTC in the Bureau of Consumer Protection.
