I suspect a mobile charger mix up with my room-mate. Is there a way to confirm it.?

I had a black nokia charger in my room. It got lost in the room. My friend has exactly the same charger of same shape. I am confused whether my friend has my charger.

you can get a new charger down the market for a fiver
even if your friend has got your charger there's no way of proving it

Ask him if he has 2 chargers now and if you can have one of them back.

Doesn't matter all nokia chargers are the same, they give out the same voltage and have the same size plug.
