the health of my future baby? When I was fifteen, very young and not at all thinking about my future, I took ecstasy almost weekly, for about seven months. After those seven months, I quit and never did it again. This was nine-ten years ago. I am now married, and we are planning on trying for pregnancy in the fall. Does anyone know if this past stupidity is going to somehow affect the health of our baby? This may be overly paranoid, but I surely hope it will not affect anything.

Any suggestions for us pre-trying for baby, such as detox, etc.?

Thank you so much in advance!

No it won't, it was 10 years ago!
Eat as healthy as possible and take a supplement like pregnacare to make sure you are getting the 400mg of folic acid. Also boost yer folic acid intake by drinking orange juice everyday.

I am no Doctor, obviously, but common sense says no, it isnt going to affect you 10 years later. You should ask your Dr. though if you still aren't sure, but really, I doubt there will be any ill affects. there is no need to "detox" from something you havent used in 10 years either. As for pre-trying, just be as healthy as you can be, you are better off than alot of women who dont plan out getting preggers cuz you can start watching things like your food intake etc. early. Prenatal vitamens are EXCELLENT.
