i wanna pursue my dreams and not be my future picked?

well see, i wanna act. and im sure im good. its one of my one and only talents and shooting aa great ccareer. i dont want to do it cause of being famous. i want to do it because i am good and i really like it. so i signed up for this talent search that lets people audition and if they are good then they will hook them up to acting. but my dad doesnt know. and i dont know how to tell him. hes very picky about my future. he thinks that i wont have a shot and that instead i should go to the army. i cant even do push ups. but anyway how do i tell him? i know hes just gonna think that im crazy. but i really believe i have a shot. what do i do?
 
Because joining the army is MUCH safer than being an actor. He probably wants the GI Bill to pay for college instead of him having to pay for it.

Don't trust your parents...do what you want to and pursue acting. Take loans if you study it formally.
