I want to download this game on xbox live marketplace?

As you probally know, Borderlands 2 came out 3 weeks ago. Does anyone know when I will be able to download it on xbox live marketplace(I just hate discs because they always scratch). I want to be able to download it before or on Christmas, so just let me know if I can download it.
 
Sorry I don't know when it will be available for download but if you don't like discs cause they scratch then you can always download them to the console from the disc. you wont be able to play without the disc but it will enable to play the game no matter the condition of the disc. If you do not know how to do this just put the disc in and when you get to the Xbox dashboard to the game press Y and it should give you game options and give you an option to download. also by the way borderlands 2 is awesome.
 
It might not be on there for awhile. X-Box, for some reason, doesn't do day 1 digital games like PSN started doing. It actually takes some time (sometimes at least a year!) for a game to be available on the Games on Demand section of the marketplace.
It is possible that it will show up before Christmas, but I doubt it, as there was no announcement made when the game came out, or since then.
