I was recently robbed by someone who I was attempting to sell stuff to who I meet

on Craigslist.? I have his cell phone number which they used to contact me several times. Would it be illegal to track his name and address (i dont remember his name/ or might be fake) from one of those cell tracking sites and then file a claim against him in court??
