want to get a couple of dvd's for daughter for Christmas but she's seen all harry potter etc,weird cartoons like the cat got home or someting, corroline etc at cinema, and has grown out of disney, getting her a dvd player for christmas, and would like to find some good films, maybe olden but golden, eh? run out of ideas
home alone was a great hit with her about 4 years ago, there must be REALLY obvious ones I've missed out on so don't hold back ( I've been through a lot- missed a lot of what's going on- hoping that could prove an advantage in this case!!) looking forward to any cool ideas

ps did anyone see the heathers, it that too scary, doesn't the horrid one get murdered? . . . YES iM this bad at films....sure you can help!

Narinia
High School Musical
St Trinians (May be a bit to old?)
Toy Story
TV box sets

I was just thinking of the ones I have seen in HMV lol

thats the first year of middle school so a lot of kids like movies like... Dear John, The Last Song, Mean Girls, etc. Or you would get her a season of her favorite TV show.

• Shrek Forever After.
• The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
• Wallace And Gromit's World Of Inventions.
• Tinkerbell And The Great Fairy Rescue.
• Alvin And The Chipmunks 2.
• How To Train Your Dragon.
• A Christmas Carol.
• Toy Story 3.
• Alice In Wonderland.

The 11 year olds that I know are all about High School Musical, anything Justin Bieber (sp?), Hannah Montana, etc

I liked: Mary Poppins (still do), Narnia series, Babysitters Club, Steel magnolias, Benny and Joon, anything John Travolta (Grease especially)

I did like Heathers, but I think a bit much/depressing for an 11 year old

Yes Narnia is a good family movie to watch, I wouldn't recommend the second one though, it's pretty bad and doesn't really have the same 'magic' that the first one did.

Also I strongly recommend the Toy Story Franchise;

As well as that I saw a movie a couple months back that I thought was very entertaining, called Up;

And finally I think shrek is an all round good kids and family franchise, although I will say that the first two are by far the best and the third one was somewhat lacking for me, and I haven't seen the forth one but i'm told it's a lot better than the third one.

Hope I Helped :) x
And have a great christmas :)
