If a girl at school asks my name and introduces herself what does that mean?

Is she trying to be friendly or is she interested? im not sure how to take it.
 
Well it all depends on if she is doing it to everybody or just you. Did she go out of her way to introduce herself to you or are you in the same class, on the same team, work together?
 
that has never happen to people i know, that is very strange. so it might mean that she thinks your cute.
 
Usually when I introduce myself to a guy or someone, I just wanna make friends. Especially if I'm new. Now it could be different but she could just be friendly right now.

I make new guy friends all the time, if I'm interested or not. I just want to have friends, this girl might be the same way. Either way as time goes on see where it leads to.
 
I have a similar question, a girl and her friend came up to me and my friend(we mostly keep to ourselves) this was on our second week of school. She and her friend randomly came up to us and ask for.oour names and then introduced herself amnd her friend. Not sure if it means anything esoecially since no one else does that.
