No your plan is fraud. And the Alltel store isn't the one insuring it. The Insurance Company for Alltel is Asurion and you will have to call them and ask. Besides, it is not a new phone they give you. It's a refurbished one and sometimes not nearly as good on the inside as the one you had.

...STORE AND GET INSURANCE ON IT? I was looking to purchase a used Motorola Q from ebay and then going into an Alltel store and getting insurance for it. That way, I could say it was stolen and pay the $50.00 deductible and receive a brand new Motorola Q9C. Is that possible? Do you have to purchase a brand new phone from an Alltel store or Alltel.com to get insurance put on it? Is my plan a legit one? Thanks.
