yes! If you want to go online, get a plan. If not, you will crap yourself when you get the bill. I've accidentally logged on before, and didn't log off quickly enough, and was charged. It depends on what plan you have now. Verizon's website has average costs for plans. You enter your zip code, and it will tell you. Honestly, I have an LG, and going online with it is so damn frustrating it's not worth it. If you want to go online with your phone, I suggest buying a smart phone. Blackberries are super cheap now.

If I just have a $30 a month phone plan and decide to buy a new phone with a Web Browsing feature (such as the Verizon LG Glance), do I have to pay extra on my monthly plan to go on the internet (if so, approx. how much)? Or am I charged every time I go on the internet and/or use the mobile email?
So if I buy a Smart Phone such as a Blackberry, is internet built into my plan? What I want to know is if I will be able to get unlimited internet and email usage without having to be charged per megabyte of usage. Because if I am being charged a ridiculous amount to go on the internet I will just get an iPod touch for the free WiFi.

You can get an unlimited data plan. it is around $50 dollars a month for most phone companies. I however, recommend sprint's simply everything plan, $99 a month unlimted data, text, and calling.
